About SiteMinder GDS
SiteMinder GDS connects your SiteMinder platform to the Global Distribution System (GDS), a worldwide reservation network used by travel agents and corporate bookers to search and book accommodation. Travel agents and corporate booking platforms use GDS networks to access real-time rates and availability, including negotiated and other restricted rates.

SiteMinder GDS connects properties to four major GDS networks through Sabre’s SynXis platform in one interface:

Galileo/Apollo by Travelport
Worldspan by Travelport

Extra adult and child rates
Single guest discount
Minimum stay and maximum stay
Stop sell
CTA (closed to arrival)
CTD (closed to departure)
💡 GDS has a maximum inventory update period of 372 days.

💡 For the best results with SiteMinder GDS, your property should:
Be located near city centres or airports
Have 20 rooms or more
Offer corporate-friendly amenities like desks and WiFi
Maintain consistent year-round operations.
Connect to SiteMinder GDS
To create a GDS account and connect it to your platform, please contact our support team.
Map your rates to SiteMinder GDS
Once you have contacted our support team and the channel is connected, map your rates to SiteMinder GDS. Go to Distribution > Channels > SiteMinder GDS > Room rates mapping.
When mapping, configure the following settings for each channel rate, including the following Channel advanced settings specific to SiteMinder GDS:
Reservation mapping fallback
By default, all reservations are processed using the rate code of the first mapped room rate of the same room type. The Reservation mapping fallback field allows you to specify which mapped room rate (and Rate code) will be used to process reservations.
Only one room rate per room type should be set as the fallback.
Rates inclusive of tax
Select Yes if rates include all taxes and fees.
Select No if rates exclude taxes and fees.
⚠️ Consult your GDS Account Manager before configuring tax settings, especially if some taxes are included while others are not.
SiteMinder GDS channel settings
To review channel settings for SiteMinder GDS go to Distribution > Channels > SiteMinder GDS > Channel settings.
⚠️ If your channel settings are incorrect, please contact us to assist updating them to avoid disrupting your connection.
Process reservations by Room Code
When enabled — only the Room code will be used to process bookings. All room rates (mapped or unmapped) will be processed as long as one room rate of that same room type is mapped.
When disabled — both room code and rate code will be used to process bookings. Unmapped rates will process if at least one rate of that room type is mapped.
Enterprise hotel
Set to “Yes” if your hotel is classified as an Enterprise hotel in SiteMinder GDS.
Use min stay through
Choose how minimum stay restrictions apply to bookings:
Yes — applies Minimum stay through. Uses the highest minimum stay value across all dates of the stay.
No — applies Minimum stay on arrival. Uses the minimum stay value of the check-in date only.
Disconnect SiteMinder GDS
To disconnect SiteMinder GDS, please contact your GDS Account Manager.
