What is an unallocated reservation?
An unallocated reservation is a booking that hasn't been assigned to a specific room in your Calendar. These reservations decrease your room type availability and need to be managed to prevent overbookings. Normally, all reservations from a channel are automatically assigned to a room, but a reservation can be listed as unallocated for various reasons.

Common causes
Common causes of unallocated reservations
No consecutive nights available in the same room type: The most common situation for channel and booking engine reservations. For example, you may not have a single room available for a three-night stay from 1–3 January, but have three different rooms available individually across those dates — in this case, rearranging existing bookings could accommodate the reservation and prevent overbooking
Room not assigned during manual booking: Little Hotelier will display a warning if no rooms are available, but you may overlook this warning or forget to select a room during the booking process. We recommend verifying room availability before creating a reservation, as unallocated reservations will reduce the room type's overall availability
Channel overbookings: A room closure was applied simultaneously when a guest was making a reservation, or the room type became fully booked
No suitable room could be found: Little Hotelier was unable to assign an available room to the reservation.
