Enable a channel connection

How to enable a channel and start sending inventory updates.

Updated this week

Enable a channel connection

Enable a channel once you have mapped all required room rates and checked that availability, rates, and restrictions are correct. Enabling a channel starts sending inventory updates from your platform to the channel.

Before you enable a channel

Check the following before enabling a channel:

  • Hotel code/property code is correct.

  • All mapped channel rates are enabled and have no errors.

  • All active channel rates are mapped ("Rates mapped: X of Y" — X and Y should match).

  • All mapped channel rates are correctly mapped to the correct rate on the channel (no cross mapping).

  • Inventory values are correct in your inventory grid.

  • Stop sells and restrictions are set as needed (you may need to manage restrictions via the channel extranet directly)

⚠️ Enabling a channel before mapping and confirming inventory can lead to overbookings or incorrect rates being displayed.

Enable a channel connection

To enable a channel and start sending inventory updates:

  1. Go to Distribution > Channels.

  2. Find the channel in your list.

  3. Click the ellipsis button (three dots) next to the channel.

  4. Select Update channel settings.

  5. Click the Enable the connection to [channel name] button.

How long does it take for a channel to activate after enabling the connection?

After enabling a channel connection:

  • Your inventory updates typically start syncing within 15–30 minutes.

  • You may need to wait up to an hour for all updates to fully sync to the channel.

Verify your channel is enabled

To verify a channel is properly enabled:

  • Look at the channel status on the Distribution > Channels page (should be green and Enabled).

  • Verify inventory updates are appearing on your channel extranet.

  • Test a search on the channel website to see if your property appears with correct rates.
