How to add a new channel

Connect to a range of channels to help increase your property’s online visibility and expand your reach to more travellers. Connecting channels can help increase direct bookings, as guests may find your property on a channel, but ultimately book directly.

Check the list of available channels we support here.

Before you connect

  • Ensure you have signed a contract and active account with the channel

  • Confirm the channel has enabled connection with "SiteMinder" or "SiteMinder RDX" (Little Hotelier)

  • Set up your rooms, rates, policies, property information, etc, in the channel’s extranet

  • Have your unique Property code (hotel ID/code or host ID) and channel extranet account details ready

Connect a channel

  1. Go to Distribution > Channels > All channels tab

  2. Click All channels to see a list of available channels

  3. Find and click on the channel that you want to connect

  4. Review channel connection settings

  5. Click Connect

Most channels activate immediately, though some channels may show Awaiting setup status, requiring configuration and activation by our support team. If the channel does not support certain inventory data, you’ll need to manage those inventory updates directly in the channel’s extranet.

After connecting a channel

Once you have connected a new channel:

  • Update channel settings: Review and update channel settings including Rate multiplier, Currency conversion and Reservation Email Address by going to Distribution > Channels > My channels tab > click the ellipsis (...) > Update channel settings

  • Map room rates: Create corresponding room rates on the channel's extranet first (if applicable), then map your rooms to the channel

  • Enable the channel: Navigate to Distribution > locate the channel > Channel settings > click Enable the connection to [channel name] to start sending inventory updates

  • Review inventory: Ensure all values are synced correctly between the channel and Little Hotelier
