Update property settings

Manage your property settings: general information, property details, services, policies and media library.

Certain property settings appear on your booking engine and are sent to supported channels including Channels Plus. Property settings will not sync to standard distribution channels (OTAs) such as Expedia and Booking.com. To update settings those channels, log in to each channel's extranet or contact the channel's support team.

Before making changes, confirm where you need these details updated:

  • Your booking engine

  • Channels connected through Channels Plus

  • Standard distribution channels (OTAs) such as Booking.com, Expedia, or Agoda

  • The top navigation bar of your platform (used for billing purposes)

Steps

  1. Navigate to Setup > Property settings

  2. Click on one of the following settings to update:

    1. General information

    2. Property details

    3. Services

    4. Policies

    5. Media library

  3. Click on the pencil icon to edit the setting you would like to update

  4. Click Save

General information

Update currency, fiscal year, inventory and language and region settings in Setup >

General information:

  • Set base currency and currency conversion

  • Set fiscal year end dates

  • Set a property minimum rate

  • Set maximum updated period for channels

  • Define weekend days for easy visualisation in the inventory grid

  • Enable auto-replenishment - automatically restore room availability when reservations are cancelled or modified (always or only if availability is 1 or more)

  • Set base language, unit of measurement and time zone

Update property details

Update property name, address, contact information, star rating and tax ID in Setup > Property details. These property details will be displayed on your booking engine and will be sent to the channels you connect to on Channels Plus.

Description

Property Name

Your property's public name for your booking engine and Channels Plus.

⚠️ Changing the property name in Property details will not change the property name you see in the top navigation bar of your platform, or in the property switcher if you have multiple properties. To change the property name displayed in the property switcher and in your platform's top navigation bar (of which name is recorded in our system and used for billing purposes), contact our support team.

Address

Your property's full address, including street, city, state, and post code.

Contact Information (Email, Website, Guest Phone)

Your property's main public phone number for guests, An e-mail address for guest inquiries, website.

Star Rating

No rating, Star rating, or Self-rating

Tax ID

The official business Tax ID used for tax declarations.

⚠️ Changing your property name and phone number in Property details will not sync to standard distribution channels (OTAs) such as Expedia and Booking.com. To update your property name on those channels, log in to each channel's extranet or contact the channel's support team.

⚠️Changing the property name in Property details will not change the property name you see in the top navigation bar of your platform. To change the property name displayed in your platform top navigation bar, which is recorded in our system and used for billing purposes, contact our support team.

Add detailed information and select relevant features for your property in Setup > Services:

Displayed on your booking engine's 'About us' page and will be sent to channels you connect to on Channels Plus

Property features (facilities, parking, transport)

Property-level services displayed on your booking engine's 'About us' page and sent to channels you connect to on Channels Plus.

Examples of property facilities include: 24-hour front desk, Accessible rooms, Air conditioning, Babysitting, Barbeque/Picnic area, Business centre, Conference facilities, Fitness centre, Lift/Elevator, Meeting rooms, Pool, Restaurant, Wheelchair access, Wireless Internet connection in public areas.

Parking and transport: examples free parking, onsite parking, street-side parking, airport shuttle service, train access.

If a feature is not available in the drop-down, describe it in your property description.

Location instructions (Instructions to the location)

Displayed on your booking engine's 'Contact us' page and in reservation confirmation emails

Policies

Manage your property’s policies that guests need to know in Setup > Policies:

  • Check-in and check-out times: Displayed on your booking engine and sent to channels you connect to on Channels Plus. May also be shared with channels that support content sync.

  • Smoking policy: Displayed on your booking engine

  • Terms, conditions and privacy policy: Displayed on your booking engine

  • Payment policy: Displayed on your guests invoice

Media library

Upload and manage images of your property and rooms in Setup > Media library.

Your property’s images will be displayed on:

  • Your booking engine

  • Channels you connect to on Channels Plus

  • Channels that support receiving images from Little Hotelier (such as Airbnb)
