Overview
The Lifecycle audit tool provides searchable logs that track changes for configuration changes. Use the audit log to see when configuration changes were made, and which users made the changes.
⚠️ The Lifecycle audit tool does not track pricing or restriction changes
⚠️ The Lifecycle audit tool does not track pricing or restriction changes made in Distribution > Inventory. It does not track changes for exact inventory values or the time they were added/removed for rates, availability or restriction values such as closed to arrival (CTA), minimum length of stay, or stop sell.
Who can access the Lifecycle audit tool?
The Lifecycle audit tool is accessible to General and Admin users. Users must have the required permissions enabled to view the page.
Understanding the Lifecycle audit log
The Lifecycle audit log shows:
Hotelier timestamp: The date and time the change was made
Event source: Where the change was made. This will show "Extranet" if the change was made by property users in the Little Hotelier platform, "System" for changes made by migrations or system updates, "Admin" for changes processed by Little Hotelier support via internal tools
Type: Category of update
Action: Details about what was changed
User who made the change: the audit will show the e-mail address of the user who made the change.
Why you may see a masked user: When you see a masked user (e.g., ************** or xxxxx@xxx.xxx) in the audit log, it means the change was made by a member of our support team/Little Hotelier staff. This can happen for a few reasons:
Changes made during onboarding assistance
Performing system updates relating to new features, security, or changes to resolve an issue or ensure stability.
If you have questions about an action made by a masked user, please contact our support team.

Frequently asked questions
Can I see the exact rate or availability values that were sent to channels?
No. The Lifecycle audit tool tracks when configuration changes were made and who made them, but it does not track exact inventory values.
How do I check when a rate was last updated?
You can only check future stay dates in the inventory grid, not past dates.
To check a future date:
Go to Distribution > Inventory
Navigate to the stay date and check the rate
If you need rate history for a past stay date, you must contact the channel’s support team directly.
I need to investigate a rate discrepancy for a booking. What should I do?
If the rate in your inventory grid is correct but the booking shows a different rate, check:
Is the rate mapped correctly?
Are there any rate multipliers or rate derivations that may have affected the rate?
Are there any associated discounts or promotions on the channel extranet?
If investigation is needed, contact the channel support team directly so they can investigate.
Why can't I see history of changes to restrictions?
The Lifecycle audit tool does not track pricing or restriction changes made in Distribution > Inventory. This includes closed to arrival (CTA), closed to departure (CTD), stop sell, minimum length of stay, and availability changes.
If a restriction was changed in your inventory, the audit log will not show who made this change or when. To investigate when the inventory was added/removed, contact our support team.
Why does my channel's support team refer me to "SiteMinder" or "SiteMinder RDX"?
These names refer to Little Hotelier - SiteMinder RDX is the name of the connectivity integration that is connected in the channel's extranet.
If the channel asks you for an XML log from SiteMinder RDX, check the audit logs in Little Hotelier or contact our Little Hotelier support team for assistance.
