Note: Length of stay restrictions apply to the check-in day. For example, a 3-night minimum stay set for June 2 won't affect a 2-night booking starting June 1.
Before connecting
Before connecting Airbnb, you'll need to:
Create an Airbnb host account. If you already have one, make sure you are logged in
Ensure compliance with Airbnb's standards for hotels and hospitality businesses
Confirm your Airbnb host account is not already connected to another channel manager: in Airbnb, go to Account > Privacy and Sharing > Connected services (Connected App). When you connect Airbnb, the Channel Connection Wizard will redirect you to Airbnb to click “Allow”; this authorises SiteMinder under the same Connected services section of your Airbnb account
Connect Airbnb
Sign in to your Airbnb business host account
Open Little Hotelier in a new tab (same browser)
Navigate to Distribution > Channels
Find Airbnb and click on it
Review eligibility criteria, tick I understandand click Connect
Complete the connection steps
Step 1: Account
Confirm and select Confirm that I have an Airbnb account and currently signed in
Click Authorise listing on Airbnb
When redirected to Airbnb's website, click I agree, then Allow
Once the connection is successful, you’ll see a Verified signed in successfully message.
Click Next
Step 2: Property details
Check your property address (pre-filled from Setup > Property details)
Click Check location to set geolocation
Adjust map pin if needed for accurate location
Note: if your property address is updated in this step, it will also be synced to your Property settings. Your property address in Little Hotelier must match what is in your Airbnb account.
Step 3: Currency conversion
Select a currency to convert rates to, or leave blank if it does not apply.
Note: currency conversion is only applied to the rates set in the inventory grid. It will not apply to extra charges configured in the channel rate’s settings (such as extra person fees).
Step 4: Complete connection
Review settings.
Click Save.
Step 5: Enable channel
Once you save the connection and are redirected to the Channel settings page (Distribution > Airbnb > Channel settings), click the Enable connection to Airbnb button. This must be done before mapping to prevent the listing being rejected.
Once the channel is completely connected, you can then map your room rates to Airbnb.
Each room rate you map will create a separate listing on Airbnb, so map only one room rate per room type to prevent double bookings.
