Control when guests can make same-day reservations on your direct booking engine.
Note: For your booking channels (OTAs), set the same day booking cut-off time within the channel extranet, as this cannot be set in Little Hotelier. Some channels may not support receiving the release period setting (the minimum number days required between booking and check-in) in Little Hotelier - check directly each channel.
Same day cut-off time for direct booking rates
To prevent last-minute bookings for your direct rates, you have two options:
Block same day bookings: Set a release period of at least 1 day in the rate plan (Rooms and rates > Rate Plans). This prevents same day bookings by requiring guests to book a certain number of days in advance
Accept same day bookings but with a time limit: Leave the release period blank and manage your same-day bookings cut-off time for the direct booking rate. This allows same day bookings but only until a specific time (e.g., 2:00 PM)
Set same day cut-off time for direct booking rates
Navigate to Direct booking > Direct booking rates
Click on the direct booking rate you want to set a cut-off time for, then click Edit
Scroll down to Additional direct booking controls
Click on the toggle Same day cut-off time
Select your preferred cut-off time from the dropdown
Click Save
