Yield rules control the availability and set selling limits for rooms and rates across your online distribution channels (OTAs and direct booking engine), especially useful during high-demand periods.
Types of yield rules
Rule type | Function |
Automatic closure | Stop selling certain room types or room rates when availability reaches a set number. |
Selling limit | Stop selling a rate plan when it has been sold a set number of times. |
Availability limit | Limit the availability of certain room types on selected channels. |
How to set up yield rules
Go to Distribution > Yield rules
Click Add yield rule
Select the yield rule type
Add a Rule name (internal reference)
Set the availability limit and choose the applicable rate plans/room types and channels
Set the applicable dates
Click Save
Note: To delete a rate plan or room type linked to a yield rule, you will need to remove it from the rule first
